THE ISLAND
The story of Feast of Fear: Devil's Joy happens inside the island of Ousia. Very far from any other civilization, the island is inhabited by two different nations; The Polis of Areté, which occupies the majority of the island, and the Nation of the Exiled, a smaller and less developed population that resides at the very southeast portion of Ousia.

To the east of Ousia exists another smaller island named Eikon, which has been fully uninhabited for hundreds of years.

The Astra Empire
Though completely detached from the other islands and Polis, Areté is still a part of the empire; However, the distance makes it so that the Empire’s grasp on Areté is severely weakened.

The current emperor of the Astra Empire, regarded as "The Gods' hands", is Gaius, a large white dog who resides in the Empire's main island- Aion. Apart from a few path leaders, Polis citizens from outside Aion go their entire life spans without seeing the current emperor.
Nation of the Exiled
A cultist cat nation based on adoration of the fallen God of Chaos, Kenos. Though there is extensive historical archiving of the nation’s history inside the Polis dating back hundreds of years, their more recent activity is unknown. As the name suggests, they are a nation entirely exiled from the Polis, with cities built past difficult terrain. Citizens are not allowed to interact with these cats despite the infinitely small chance of it happening at random.
