ROLEPLAY STYLES
Two styles of text roleplay will be employed in Feast of Fear: Devil's Joy
Script Roleplay
A fast-paced style, and the one that will be used for all events.
When the text gets extensive or there’s a shift in actions, use multiple paragraphs in the same style.
ex. CHARACTER NAME: short description, usually focused on actions. “Dialogue is bolded”
Paragraph Roleplay
A more in-depth and detailed RP, optionally used by players outside of events.
ex. CHARACTER NAME | pronouns
paragraphs of text detailing inner monologue, thoughts, and actions.
Outside of events, players should roleplay with each other and the NPCs through threads in the specific channels. There’ll be multiple IC places to choose from, and players are granted large freedom in interactions.

Players are free to use stats during these thread RPs for miscellaneous reasons, such as made-up scenarios in the roleplay (ex. characters are hunting, stat usage to decide success and prey size) as well as spars or fighting.

During events (both main and side quests), staff will prompt stat usage for specific portions of narration; However, this is only a small part of using them. Players are deeply encouraged to use their stats as they desire, making up actions during the campaign as you would in a DnD session. A few examples of basic player-prompted actions would be: insight, persuasion, intimidation, seduction, perception…
